           The Foundation Phase was about clarity and intention — knowing your value, advocating for yourself, being intentional with your path, and developing a growth mindset.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           But clarity alone isn’t enough.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The next stage —
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           The Execution Phase
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            — is where strategy meets momentum.
            &#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
        
            It’s where discipline, accountability, and grit turn potential into performance.
            &#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
        &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
        
            Here’s what I’ve learned:

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Lesson 5: Track Your Wins
          &#xD;

  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Your wins are your leverage.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Every deal closed, project delivered, or role filled builds your professional equity — if you track it.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In recruiting and business, I’ve seen too many high performers struggle to articulate their value simply because they didn’t document it.

           This past week, I shared the first four lessons from my journey — nearly 15 years in the people business, spanning Fortune 500 staffing, in-house Talent Acquisition, and entrepreneurship.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           These aren’t abstract ideas. They’re principles forged from experience: being laid off at 7:06 AM, climbing the corporate ladder to the Top 1% globally, sacrificing six-figure bonuses for learnings, and eventually betting on myself to launch CultureHub Insights.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Lesson 1: Know Your Value

           The truth is simple: no one will value you more than you do.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When I got laid off, I didn’t panic — because I had receipts.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           &#xD;

           Knowing your value is step one. Advocating for it is step two.
          &#xD;

    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Early in my career, I saw great people overlooked because they assumed their work would speak for itself. It doesn’t. Raises, promotions, and opportunities rarely just land in your lap.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

            Closed mouths don’t get fed. Speak up, ask for what you’ve earned, and push for what’s right — even when it’s uncomfortable.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Lesson 3: Be Intentional with Your Path
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/h2&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I once sacrificed six-figure bonuses to go in-house — telling myself it would be one step back for two leaps forward. The reality? At times, it felt like more than one step back.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           But that sacrifice transformed me from a tactical recruiter into a strategic talent partner. It gave me the chance to build multiple G&amp;amp;A departments, connect with leaders across the world, and gain perspective that prepared me to launch my own business.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

            Career progress (titles, comp, recognition) isn’t the same as growth. Make intentional moves that build skills, networks, and positioning.

           Lesson 4: Have a Growth Mindset

    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;

           When I got the “7:06 AM text” that my role was ending, I was able to secure a retained engagement with the same company before lunch — because I knew how to articulate my value and results instantly.

           1. I waited too long to elect S-Corp status

           I launched as a single-member LLC—quick and easy. But I didn’t elect S-Corp status early enough, which meant I missed out on tax advantages and had to navigate a painful correction process (including faxing documents to the IRS in 2025).
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

           If you're bringing in consistent income, speak with a qualified CPA early. The right structure can save you thousands and simplify how you pay yourself. Keep more of your hard-earned money!

           2. I unplugged from LinkedIn—with no plan
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I took a digital break in Q1 while traveling. While the reset was necessary, I didn’t schedule posts or repurpose top-performing content.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The result? Lost visibility, missed opportunities, and unnecessary rebuilding just a few months later.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Takeaway:
          &#xD;

           Take the break—but plan ahead. Let your best content continue working for you in the background through scheduling and automation.

           3. I didn’t have LinkedIn Premium

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I didn’t realize that service requests and leads were getting routed into a Premium inbox I wasn’t checking. I missed potential client connections for months.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           On top of that, I went inactive—and LinkedIn’s algorithm didn’t reward the silence.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           Takeaway:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

           If your business depends on inbound, visibility, or outreach—Premium isn’t a luxury, it’s a lever.

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           4. I launched with extreme confidence—and got humbled

           I had momentum, clarity, and vision. But I still hit resistance.

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           There were pivots. There was shoveling behind the scenes. There were moments of doubt.
          &#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           But there was also unexpected upside: I built new skills, rediscovered my creative muscle, and got sharper in ways I hadn’t anticipated.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;

           5. I used to focus on the destination. Then the journey. Now? The people.

           Earlier in my career, I chased outcomes—titles, milestones, wins.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Then I shifted to valuing the journey—process, learning, progress.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           But today, I see what really matters: the people you build with.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Strangers become acquaintances. Acquaintances become friends. Friends become like family.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
